I just refinished a set of nightstands for our bed

I just refinished a set of nightstands for our bedroom.. How do you think they turned out?

I realized this morning that these nightstands are almost 10 years old. They were dented, a drawer had a piece missing from the bottom (thanks to bad tenants) and they no longer fit my style.

In true hippie fashion, rather than throw them away.. I gave them a new lease on life! 😍 Can’t wait for the matching dressers..

Thank you for the flowers, @downtowninvermere 🧡 Finally able to let her pluck all the flowers her little heart desires.

For those of you who don’t live in Invermere.. Every September the town hosts a flower picking day, where you can pick the annual flowers from the flower beds in downtown Invermere.

This was our first flower picking day, and I’m glad we got an early start as it seemed to be a popular little event ☺️

I’ve always loved and had good taste in flowers. I feel like in a past life I owned a floral boutique 🌼 What do you think of my little arrangement?

Hear me out:

Dandelion greens are not only extremely good for you, but they are delicious and grow in abundance here in Canada! 😍

The first time I ate dandelion greens was in Italy. My mother-in-law makes a dish called “mallone” which is essentially mashed potatoes with sautéed dandelion greens, garlic and onion blended together.

I love to top it with cheese and an egg, along with a couple slices of toast.

Have you ever tried dandelion greens?

I’m convinced these poppies are MAGIC ✨

Earlier this summer I had been admiring everyone’s gigantic red poppies, as I had none… Until I did!

These magically appeared out of nowhere! I don’t believe they’re the same Oriental Giant Red Poppies that I’ve been eyeing around the neighbourhood; but they are a beautiful red poppy, and the deer leave them alone. And that’s good enough for me! 🧡

I saved some seeds (or maybe it’s just useless powder), and I hope to place these poppies a little more strategically next year 😉
