We provide a wholesome, full-service professional in-home pet care experience for the discerning pet parent.
With nearly 10 years of professional pet care experience, we are committed to providing you with high quality pet (and home) care. Whether you’re away from home for extended periods of time during the day, or taking a much needed vacation, we are here to provide you with qualified, trustworthy and reliable care in your stead. Your pet will become an extension of our loving family in the comfort of their own home.

When was the last time you took a vacation?
Pets are a permanent extension of our family, but that doesn’t mean you need to permanently sacrifice the adventure, relaxation and enjoyment that travel has to offer!
It can be difficult to find someone trustworthy and reliable to care for our furry family members. And that’s where we come into the picture…
We won’t cancel last minute.
We won’t invite strangers into your home.
We won’t leave you with a big mess to clean up when you return home. (Quite the opposite, in fact.)

Meet your bonus family!
Amber, Stefano & Charli
We are an animal enthusiast, nature loving, international family of three that splits our time between Canada and Italy.
As a former pet hotelier, Amber offers more than 10 years of professional pet care experience (and a lifetime of personal experience). Throughout her career she has cared for over 1,000 four-legged critters of all shapes, sizes, breeds and temperaments.
Stefano is crazy about cats, and has had the uncanny ability to befriend feral cats in our Italian village. His personal motto is that “animals are better than humans”, and together we share the dream of raising chickens and other barnyard friends on an acreage.
Charli is our little animal-loving, wild child in the making!

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT OUR SERVICES
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will you be at the house?
As a standard practice, pets will not be left for longer than 5 hours at any given time. We work with clients to create a personalized itinerary that ensures both the owner and their pet are comfortable with the proposed schedule.
What do I need to provide for an overnight stay?
Although most of our requirements are likely standard in your household, we like to make sure expectations are clear for the sake of both parties.
We require a queen sized (or larger) bed with clean linens, access to a functional kitchen and bathroom (with clean linens as well). You are NOT expected to provide groceries, however if there is food that will go bad in your absence, we will make sure it is not wasted. With this in mind, we primarily eat a vegetarian/plant-based diet (Amber is a vegetarian, Stefano is an omnivore).
It is also expected that all pet necessities are provided by you, the owner. That means: food, supplements, treats, medications, poop bags, equipment and accessories (collar, leash, etc).
We will use your household essentials (things such as toilet paper, laundry detergent during extended stays, garbage bags and cleaning supplies).
Will you bring anyone over to our house?
Absolutely not! We are professionals and we respect your privacy. That means no guests whatsoever (the human or furry kind).
Does my pet need to be registered?
Yes, we do require up to date pet registration with the municipality in order to provide services.
Can my dog sleep in the bed?
As long as your dog shows no signs of possession over the bed, we are more than happy to let them join us! However, dogs that get possessive of their beds will need to either sleep on the floor or in a crate for our own safety.
Are you bonded and insured?
Not at this time. We do not have any employees or contractors, and have reduced our personal liability by providing private services. (No interactions with pets outside of your home.) If we choose to build a team, or grow our roster into a full-time commitment, we will secure a bond and insurance at that time.
Do you have Pet First Aid?
Yes we do! Amber is Walks 'N Wags certified. We have a pet first kit nearby at all times, and we know how to use it.
